Bookmark or Share- A comparison between American Pearl and Moline!! - PriceScopeMoline is on par with Mikimoto AAA imo, but American Pearl is not. The “customer service” from AP is also insanely bad. Their chat just refers you to an email, they only sometimes respond to emails, and if you call in you always have to leave a message with some receptionist who passes along the message and they may or may not contact you.

In brief, I bought a long 7-7.5 mm, AAA akoya strand from AP several years ago. I was very happy with AP at the time (although I've wished for the past few years that I had gone larger in diameter).
- Pearls of Joy vs Pearl Paradise vs Tiffany vs MikimotoFor Akoya, my American Pearl AAA Akoya are the closest I've seen to Mikimoto quality - they just glow. My experience with the PP Hanadama was that the luster just wasn't as high as I hoped and the colour seemed a bit off (they were quite peachy, rather than rose toned like my other Akoya pearls).
- Looking for pearl necklace vendor recommendations - PriceScopeEdit: American Pearl uses the Mikimoto grading system of A, AA, and AAA, with AAA as the highest luster. They don't vary much in roundness or blemishing as they are all perfectly round to the eye and eye clean (I looked when I was there), but the differences in luster are noticeable.
- American Pearl Hanadama vs Pure Pearls Hanadama - PriceScopeThe better comparison would be between the American Pearl AAA akoya strands and the Hanadama strands from Pure Pearl. My experience has been that my AAA Akoya strand from American Pearl has been a better quality than the majority of Hanadama strands that I have compared them to (both from retail and online vendors).
